Envisat RA-2 IGDR product anomaly
ECMWF atmospheric model pressure grids are operationally used to derive dry troposphere and inverse barometer corrections for the ENVISAT RA-2 height measurements.
 
Envisat RA-2 NRT processing - nominal operations resumed
After the implementation of the new ENVISAT Altimetry Level 1b and Level 2 Near Real Time (NRT) processing chain on 2 February 2010, the RA-2 NRT processing has been moved back to ESRIN (PDHS-E) starting with orbit 41451.
 
Envisat Altimetry Data Set Version 2.0: New ESA Level 1b and Level 2 processors operational
The new versions of the ENVISAT Altimetry Level 1b and Level 2 Near Real Time (NRT) processing chains generating the FDGDR products (NRT IPF version 6.02L04) will become operational from 7:30 UTC on 2 February 2010 (orbit 41443).

Greek fires seen from space
ESA's Envisat satellite captures thick clouds of smoke billowing from wildfires that have been raging through Greece and are threatening the capital, Athens.
These images were acquired by Envisat's MERIS optical instrument on 22 and 24 August 2009, working in Full Resolution mode to provide a spatial resolution of 300 metres and are available on the MIRAVI website.
